Article - planner resigns after 'violating ethics policy'

    http://www.fbnewsleader.com/articles...ityplanner.txt

    HIGHLIGHTS:
because you violated the city's policy on business ethics and conduct . . . at the Surf Restaurant when you became disruptive and publicly threatened the owner of the establishment with using your position as a city planner to 'make things difficult' for him,"

wrote that it was better for all concerned if "I resign my position as planner II rather than proceed with the potentially contentious and divisive process of a termination hearing."
    1. So wrong.
    2. Would you have gone through with the hearing or do what this planner did ? I believe he did the right thing.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

What a waste of tax dollars. That guy brings shame to the planning profession and the community he worked for.

I have personally heard good things about Mr Sullivan from my p's who live on the island. it is a tough town for an outsider to work for or so i am told. NTL doesnt excuse him being a repeat alcohol offender.

I hope he can get a handle on it for his own sake.

After reading the article, and details about other problems he's had with the law, I agree. I'm going to bet that the 'make things difficult' comment was somethng that just came out as a verbal punch. it wouldnd't have been uttered if it weren't for his intoxication and mental state.

Still, if there's one thing you're going to say as a drunk planner, threatening to use the power of your position to get someone in trouble isn't it.

He made the right decision....he obviously has some issues he needs to deal with and hopefully he'll deal with those issues sooner rather than later.
Prediction is difficult, especially about the future. :-o
