2. Would you have gone through with the hearing or do what this planner did ? I believe he did the right thing.

I have personally heard good things about Mr Sullivan from my p's who live on the island. it is a tough town for an outsider to work for or so i am told. NTL doesnt excuse him being a repeat alcohol offender.

I hope he can get a handle on it for his own sake.

After reading the article, and details about other problems he's had with the law, I agree. I'm going to bet that the 'make things difficult' comment was somethng that just came out as a verbal punch. it wouldnd't have been uttered if it weren't for his intoxication and mental state.

Still, if there's one thing you're going to say as a drunk planner, threatening to use the power of your position to get someone in trouble isn't it.

He made the right decision....he obviously has some issues he needs to deal with and hopefully he'll deal with those issues sooner rather than later.
