AIB: MN / SP have Mary Tyler Moore. . : Statues for Odd Real People or Animals

Statues of fictional TV characters is an interesting thread, but how about statues for real-life people or animals that are a bit odd?

I will start: Fort Benton, MT has a statue honoring Shep, a real-life sheep dog. One day his owner boarded the train and did not return. The sheepherder had died. Shep faithfully came to meet every train for five years, hoping his master would come home. One day Shep slipped on the ice and was killed by a freight train. The townspeople buried him on a hill outside of town and there is a statue of ole Shep - a model of canine fidelity.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I believe there is a housing project someone (probably in the south) named after Nathan Bedford Forrest who was of course associated with the KKK.

I seem to recall from my youth that Minnesota has a real penchant for large sculptures that fit into this category. I remember seeing a few Paul Bunyans, Babe the Blue Oxes (separately and together), a large totem-pole-esque bear and, I think, a large carved duck in our driving around the northern half of the state. Its been a long time, so my memory is murky.
