Dear colleagues:

The University of Iowa is hosting a national symposium on the home
foreclosure crisis. This will be held on Oct 10 & 11 (Friday &
Saturday), 2008 at hotel Vetro in Iowa City. Presenters from a variety
of academic fields, non-profits, government departments, and financial
institutions will present their perspectives on what caused the crisis,
provide examples of how cities and states are responding and share
policy recommendations. The event is sponsored by several University of
Iowa units (Department of Urban & Regional Planning, College of Law,
School of Business, and the Public Policy Center), and many financial
institutions. The symposium has been approved for CLE credits by the
Iowa Bar Association; application for CME credits for AICP members is
pending. Details about this event can be found online at

I hope your schedule will allow participation in this national

Best wishes. -- Jerry
