You didn't mention the other female way of dealing with stress - tears. That's the choice tonight, but it's a rare choice for me. I don't really complain to family; I think that I confide in them because I don't want the rest of the world to see what stress does to me. Tonight it has beaten me to a pulp.

Sounds like you need a Cyburbia group hug.

Can't believe I forgot that one. I read somewhere there was a study that monitored endorphin levels (ie. 'happy' neuropeptides) in the bloodstream for various activities and they found petting cats and dogs raised those levels measurably.

You can tell some guy created the poll. Sorry about that. If I were to redo the poll I would definitely include shopping and crying.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I usually don't let stress get to me at all, I find it a healthy motivator. But the crap that's gone down in the last week is starting to take its toll.

I’m convinced that a paradigm shift is probably the best way possible to deal with stress. That is, the reason something shouldn’t bother you is because you just don’t give a ***t about it anymore!

If only it were possible in more circumstances.

    That's why there are drugs.
