    Sports Teams Seen in Person.

I got to thinking about this last night and thought I would collaborate and remember (through a thread here) the sports teams I have seen in my life. I am not a season ticket holder, but I have seen a couple good teams and good atheletes in my day. This is based on memory but I should be able to get it. I only included major pro or college games. I have seen many minor league baseball, hockey and junior hockey games, but didn't want the list to be THAT long.

Numerous opponents in the CCIW conference and other non-conference teams. My brother played ball for four years there, so my family would go to a ton of games. We even went on vacations to Florida and Minnesota to see them play.

I definitely need to get to some Bears and Bulls games.

Good Lord. I saw the Reds play sombody twice (once at Crosley Field), the Braves play the Phillies, and maybe the Falcons play once...it was sooo memorable. For college, most all home games plus one Peach Bowl.

I'm confident that I've seen every franchise from Candlestick Park, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, PacBell Park (now AT&T Park), the Diamondbacks stadium in Phoenix, the old park in Kansas City where the KC A's played (vs. the Chi White Sox), Dolphins Stadium (Miami), Jack Murphy Stadium (San Diego), the defunct Seattle Kingdom, and Tropicana Field (St. Pete FL).

    NFL
Over about a four year period, I saw 49ers and Raiders games when I lived in the Bay Area--almost every home game. I could never remember how many different teams I saw play.

    NBA
    Golden State Warriors
    New York Knicks
    Boston Celtics
    Houston Rockets
Orlando Magic (I forget who they played )

For over 20-years, I saved my ticket stub from every game. I just looked through the only box of personal belongings where I would have kept them.
They must be in a farking landfill in north Idaho!!!

It would be difficult for me to even come up with the teams so I am going to try to limit this to the places.

    Tiger Stadium
    Olympia
    Chicago Stadium (Old and New)
    Comerica Park
    U of Michigan Stadium
    Yost Arena (U of M)
    Municipal Stadium (Cleveland)
    Jacobs Field (Cleveland)
    Rich Stadium (Buffalo)
What ever the new football stadium in Miami is called this week.

    Ned Skeldon Stadium (Toledo)
    Soldier Field
    West Point NY
Wayne State University (Basketball and Football)
    Palace of Auburn Hills
    Rynerson Stadium (Ypsilanti, MI)
    Cobo Arena (Detroit)

I'm sure there are more that don't come to mind.

Here's four few others cans ay they've seen:

    The Boston Breakers
    The Houston Gamblers
    The New Jersey Generals
    The Philadelphia Stars

(Mike Lush, BS ESSC '82 and I were classmates. He was a successful DB with the Stars and played a season or two with the Saints, IIRC).

That reminds me: The PGA Pro-Am at Pebble Beach.

    Not a team sport.

Seen 'em all, except for Tampa Bay, Colorado and San Jose. Home games in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. Among defunct/relocated teams have seen the Nordiques, Jets, North Stars, Rockies, Atlanta Flames and Hartford Whalers.

    MLB
All AL teams except the Angels and Rays. Saw the Brewers when they were AL.

Montreal is the only NL team I think I've seen (haven't been following baseball nearly as much since interleague play and the wildcard).

    NBA
    Toronto Raptors
    Cleveland Cavaliers

    NFL
    None

    CFL
    None

    Soccer
    Glasgow Celtic
    Roma

This was an international friendly in Toronto...still count?

I did see Manchester United once...but not playing a game. They were walking off a train and onto a bus after losing the 1995 FA cup final

I've seen the Toronto Blue Jays play two or three times. I cannot remember who the Jays were playing against.

I had forgotten...I saw the Atlanta Hawks play someone. Also attended two hockey games; those are interesting, I enjoyed the games having three periods...a chance for another beer run. Now, anyone for a good Thoroughbred race? I grew up with that sport.
