Alternative standards for context sensitive design

I heard once that the Congress for New Urbanism and AASHTO (or some other transportation standard) was creating a set of standards for transportation design in Mixed-use developments, villages, etc. that were different from the general suburban standards they have in the AASHTO manual. Does that ring a bell and can anyone point me in the right direction?

I know that DPZ has come up with the "Smart Code" that may have some street design standards: http://smartcodecentral.com/smartfilesv9_2.html

"Complete Streets" may also be what you're looking for: http://www.completestreets.org/howtogetto.html

The above link will take you to the ITE CSS web page. There is a link further down to their Proposed Recommended Practice as well as some other information. It is still a proposal and not expected to be finalized until next year sometime.

That is it! It is exactly what I was thinking of. I could not remember if it was AASHTO or ITE. Thank you so much!
