    Planning recruiters, employment agencies, etc..?

This is probably too much to ask for in the planning field, but are there any employment agencies, headhunters and or recruiters that specifically find work for planners?

Check the web site for your state municipal league, the cities post ads in them
    It doesnt cost you anything
The same applies for any state that you might want to work in as well as the APA web site

Don't know of any specific firms but I have seen the following at work:

    1) Local HR firms and consultants -- used to outsource the screening and (partially) the interview process, common when the City is very overworked and can't even find the time to manage the application process

    2) Larger, executive talent search firms -- common for managerial positions where the City is trying to branch away from local staff and find talent that is not necessarily connected to the City already

post your resume through APA, ASLA, or a local chapter. Although, anyone looking for workers will easily find themselves swamped with applicants with various amounts of experience, so I don't know how handy those resume boards are.
