    Hi from France/Toronto!

    Hi everyone,

I'm a French urban planner for 4 years and I moved in Toronto last april because of my partner.

In my last job, one of my charge was to work on a new heritage conservation program (15th century old down town), very far from Toronto, isn’t it ?

I've really enjoyed what I've seen of the site so far, and I hope to learn and participate…

Greetings! It's funny -- my part of the Hoosier state is just now being dragged (kicking and screaming, no less) into the 15th century!

Thanks for registering and welcome aboard!

Bonjour/Hello from a former Torontonian now living in Ottawa!

I think Quebec City will be the closest thing you will find in North America to 15th Century France...have you been there yet? Are you working in the planning field in Canada?

    Hi again !

I've never been in Quebec city, but I've been in Ottawa last May, I found this city so quite, so green, everything is so...large ! The low density made me feel like in a small town. But I'm not sure that's the right place to speak about in the forum ?

I currently work in the ministry of education, not really in my field...

I'm collecting information about the field, I try to find how my skills can be an asset in this english environment , that's how I found this site. I'm very impatient to find a job here and to compare our point of view about urban planning !

Well, Cyburbia is a good place to start. There are a few Canadian planners here, so go ahead and start asking questions!

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
