If it is still around, this was likely panned on "Crime Makes you Stupid", a regular feature on the morning radio show we listened to in Manhattan Kansas:

Cops: Robber Came Back to Ask Victim for Date

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,548065,00.html

Ohio police say a suspect in a robbery was arrested when he returned to the home about two hours later to ask the victim out on a date.

HEADLINE: Insane killer escapes on field trip to county fair
    http://www.courierpress.com/news/200...r/?partner=RSS

    HIGHLIGHTS:
“Why was he allowed to take such a trip?” the governor said Friday. “Why did they go to a location that was so heavily populated with families?”

hospital administrators waited nearly two hours before calling law enforcement.

They believe he was an extreme escape risk and the administration should never have allowed him on the field trip,” a statement from the Washington Federation of State Employees said. “The workers have unsuccessfully fought to stop the outings for murderers, rapists and pedophiles committed to the hospital as criminally insane.”
Somebody better lose their job and should they go to jail themselves over this one ?

They thought it was a cargo vessel.

    D’oh!

This is the third time this year that Somali pirates have attacked a Western military vessel by mistake,...

I would like to nominate the fair governor of Dirty Jerzey today for his meandering speech at the 25th Black Issues Conference that had a packed house of African-American senior citizens today. It was ok in the beginning, then it went downhill when he gave a lecture about Tuskegee Experiment and went on the stump (he's facing a tough re-election battle).

    ex-girlfriend is mean & greedy & stupid

Man robbed trying to buy back his TV
Ex-girlfriend is one of two arrested so far.

By Sarah Newell Williamson | Hickory Daily Record

    Published: November 9, 2009

HICKORY - A man hoping to get his TV back ended up getting robbed.

Roberto Layza recently broke up with his girlfriend, Keisha Matthews, and was hoping to get his TV back from her, according to police reports.

Layza got off work at about midnight Friday and asked Matthews to meet him in the parking lot of the Waffle House at 13th Avenue Drive, SE, with the TV, so he could buy it back from her. According to the report, Layza recently sold his car, and had the cash from the sale with him.

Layza, 31, was outside Zaxby's, where he worked, when he saw Matthews' Ford SUV pull up. As he was walking to Matthews' car, Layza said two Hispanic males "came out of nowhere," according to the report, and attacked him.

Witnesses said the men came from Matthews' car, according to the police report.

Layza said he recognized one of the men as Matthews' new boyfriend.

Layza was robbed of the money he had from the sale of his car.

Hickory police arrested Matthews, 23, on Saturday and charged her with felony common law robbery. She was placed in jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Jonathan Santiago, 20, was also charged with felony common law robbery and placed in jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

    Game of Telephone

I was asked to work with some Agency staff on an energy efficiency initiative one of the utility companies is running for multifamily properties. I wanted the final draft of the letter and application packet from the utility companies for reference purposes so I called the program coordinator at the utility.

Me: Hi, I am kjelsadek from Teh Agency working with your target properties for the new program. I need the letter and application packet that went out for reference.

Y: Oh ok. Well I will have to get them from X because she did the mailing. I will give her the message that you need the program docs.

    Me: Thank you.

X calls my supervisor and leaves a rambling message about some random person (me) calling Y asking which properties the letter was mailed to.

Supervisor: I just got a message from X saying you requested the mailing list for the properties. Why did you do that? I TOLD you which properties they were.

Me: I called and talked to Y and asked for program docs. I know which properties they are already because I created the list in the first place and gave it to them.

Supervisor: Oh. Well what should I do?

Me: Nothing. I will take care of it.

So...I called X who didn't answer her phone so I shot her an email introducing myself to her and requesting program docs again. She CC'd me an email she sent to someone else delegating the emailing of the program docs to someone else At 5:30 there was still no program docs.

Actually, this year NYS took a step backwards by going to the scantrons. We used to use the old mechanical voting machines. All voters did was pull down a little button to vote yes (or no in the case of propositions). If you changed your mind, all you had to do was push up the button and lower another one. When you pulled the lever to open the curtains, your vote(s) was/were recorded -- all in complete privacy! Oh, yeah, and voting could still take place even if the power went out because the mechanical voting machines didn't use electricity except for the light at the top that illuminated the ballot!

The other day my daughter had her 18-mo checkup. She's still a tiny peanut since being premature.. only 18 lbs., and probably won't reach 20 lbs. by her 2-year birthday. But, her dr. is happy with her growth rate and her development with walking, talking, etc.

So, I called my ex-husband to tell him about the appointment, and he gets all bent out of shape about how tiny she is, asks if we can do anything to "fatten her up". The girl eats more than her 5-year old sister, and pees and poops like a pro. No issues there. But, he left he conversation intent on making sure we help her gain weight. Obviously, I was annoyed.

Then, a few hours later the ex sends me a text asking me if our daughter is old enough now to switch from whole milk to the 1% he drinks. Obviously, not wanting to bother buying her HER milk anymore, for when she's with him.

cch your daughter will be fine, and you know that. Your ex isn't fine, and it sounds like he is trying to second guess you to undermine your parental authority and confidence. Keep doing everything the way you have been.

In keeping witht he thread, yes, he is stupid.

Ex is using pretzel logic. Whats to beef up kid (and whole milk will help that), but want to buy 1% milk. I'm confused. Me thinks you're better off.

UNION, S.C. When federal officials descended on this small South Carolina town to investigate a kickback scheme that had caught up the mayor and another official, they stumbled across a web of corruption they believe is deeper and more widespread through the county.

Authorities began looking into the 8,000-person town more than a year ago, announcing in July 2008 that now former Union Mayor Bruce Morgan and former zoning administrator Jeffrey Lawson were charged with multiple federal crimes, including seeking bribes and plotting to take thousands in kickbacks from building contractors.

    Darwin Award -
MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — A weekend crash that occurred as two people tried to switch who was driving a car has killed a woman in eastern Kentucky.

A report from the Fayette County Coroner’s Office stated 20-year-old Kelita Nicole Hicks of Olive Hill died while undergoing surgery at University of Kentucky Hospital on Saturday morning.

Deputy Coroner John A. McCarty stated Hicks was sliding over the car’s T-top and was outside the vehicle as it traveled Ky. 519 just north of Morehead at highway speed when her foot hit the steering wheel.

The car veered left and the other person, who was sliding into the passenger seat, grabbed it, turning it sharply right, throwing Hicks was from the car’s roof and into a guardrail.

Would it have been too simple to pull over & put the car in park and then switch ?
