    Hello from Boston, MA

I already posted a new thread elsewhere in this forum but since this looks like the place to truly introduce myself, I ought to do that. I am currently a substitute teacher in the Boston Public Schools but I am set on applying to graduate urban planning school and make that field the focus of my career. I have lived nearly all my life in the metro Boston area and I've been to practically every neighborhood in the entire city and driven on nearly every major avenue. I cannot help with questions about urban planning schools as I am still applying but I can definitely give tips to anyone interested in urban planning issues in Boston and answer questions. I am really excited to be part of the Cyburbia Community and hope I can be of help.

Welcome to Cyburbia. I grew up in RI and lived in Boston for ten years before moving to NC. I drove a livery car, worked as a valet, attended college, worked at the housing authority and served as a community development manager while I was there. I lived all over town and know the city back to front.

Welcome from the Hoosier State along the Ohio River.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
