Supreme Kudos to Maister for presumably a well-reasearched and substantive thread topic.
I believe that I Maister selected each example with care and a under-lying notion of the variety of personality types on the board.

    How do I know?

Door #3 scares me... and the fact that so many PICKED it in this thread sort of induces mild anger in me (for some reason). It has been weighing on my mind since I opened this thread.

Perhaps it is time to sign the commitment papers, I don't know...

You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

Door number 1. Most are too ornate for my tastes. I really liked how simple refined it seemed.

    ENTJ - Door #2

I like the basic symmetry of the overall design yet each individual piece does not have to belong or stand alone.

Too much wood? Not enough wood? Hard wood? Soft wood?

We must be twins. Ditto on the ENTJ and the Door.

Door #3 scares me too, it makes me think that the limbs will come alive and capture me and not let me go if I try to enter. Psycho-analyze *that* one, ha!

Til the day I die I'll just never understand people who want to analyze everything or read stuff into things. Doesn't make any sense. Things are just the way they are and that's that. This business of symbolism being everywhere is nonsense. Nothing needs interpretation.

On an entirely unrelated note, does anyone else think the hardware in this joint could be better designed? Seems like it could use longer threading. What do y'all think?

I forget sometimes that I post images on rare occasions that actually fall within the realm of the built environment and can use Cyburbia to host them. Huh, go figure.

    Try it now.

I like Door #3 the best.

Door #5 is Ok, kind of stuffy but VERY solid looking.

Door #1 makes me want to attack and burn the place down!

INTP with a bit of the E at the start!

lies! everything needs to be analyzed!

i have been trying recently to not over-analyze things. it was compounding on top of some other issues and causing duress with a particular relationship that i would rather not see end - but i think that goes under a different thread

its really hard not to over think every single word some times...

according to wikipedia those threads are exactly as long as they need to be.

I also voted for 5. I just loved the detail provided on the columns and on the frame of the door. Good craftsmanship is evident from the picture and provides detail at a pedestrian level...god i write too many design guidelines.
Men do dumb $hit... it is what they do to correct the problem that counts.

I chose door #1, no idea why. I think I like the evocation of mystery, without sounding like too much of a woosy.
