Currently a HOT topic is the Urban-Wildland Fire Interface.

    Floodplain Management - NFIP/CRS

    CSO - Combined Sewer Overflows

    Urban Forestry

    Community Recycling Programs

    Dark Sky

    Greenways
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    JNA had good topics -

I would also add the cost of regulations - is it cheaper just to buy that wetland?

your list needs to be refined a little - as in what about solid waste management? for example, running with that topic, what if restaurants composted? how much would that remove from the waste stream?

    good luck!

The environmental and soci-economic impacts and implications of urban agriculture.

Energy and material flows in an urban center, as a means of identifying environmental cost savings. (choose a limited number of materials - eg food - meat and dairy products, or the ingredients of some important product manufactured in the town)

Develop a muncipal environmental accounting system for monitoring change over time in urban environmental management.

    Hi Veera,
I'm writing my MLA thesis right now too. All I can say is, focus on a specific thing within a bigger topic. I started with a more inductive form of research myself and its given me a lot of headaches. 6 months in and I finally have a question. So you really have to be interested in it to keep you going.
I don't know if thats much help,
