    Online community survey platforms

Can any one recommend a good online survey platform for community surveys?

I hope your winter is going well over there on the east side. Survey Monkey.

Survey monkey works great. Just remember, however, that the group of people filling out your survey may not reflect the public. Thats the more diffiicult task.

agreed.just used survey monkey for first step in comp plan process. worked perfectly.--good point---obviously this type of survey is less scientific but offers opportunity for good input.

I've used surveygizmo several times and found it quite helpful.

I have used survey monkey three times and it has worked out very well. I agree with the previous post that this will not be a statistically significant survey method becuase you will only be getting people who know about the project you are working on (self selected). A random sample of the population is one of the few ways to get a statistically significant result.

Exactly. And random surveys that attempt to significantly reduce bias are more expensive and difficult to do.
