The Rebuild Iowa Office (RIO) has partnered with FEMA ESF #14 Long-Term Community Recovery to assist 10 of Iowa's most impacted communities following last summer's catastrophic flooding and tornadoes. Through that process, FEMA developed a "community recovery toolbox" that communities can use to improve communication networks and project development, and connect to technical and financial resources.
Each of the 10 communities are participating in workshops this week to learn how to use these tools. Others may also find the tools useful, thus we have uploaded them to our website (scroll to the bottom of the page): http://rio.iowa.gov/community_recovery/communities.html If interested, you can also view the recovery reports/strategies/plans that were developed with the 10 communities.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
