Hi everyone

I know that there appears to be a trend towards the formation of 'place management' agencies to look after the physical revitalisation, economic development and provision of community services within specifically designated areas, particularly derelict waterfronts, e.g. Docklands Authority in Melbourne, Australia. Is it a common trend in the States as well; has anyone worked in them before and knows exactly what sort of organisational structure/workscope is required of them?

Thanks for your help!
