This is my first post and am not sure if I am placing it in the right board but here goes...
I've recently applied to UC-Denver's Urban and Regional Planning Program and (assuming I am accepted) will begin classes this spring semester. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Denver in Real Estate and Construction Management with minors in Economics and Legal Studies.
Anyways as a native of St. Louis I greatly enjoyed reading Colin Gordon's book Mapping Decline: St. Louis and the Fate of the American City. Great historical narrative of the history of St. Louis and examines its challenges, poor vision and planning, controversial policies, and attempts at revitalization.
I'd be interested in reading a historical/planning type book on the evolution of Denver and the front range region. Essentially I want to be a more informed citizen of the place I reside.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated... thanks!
