Colorado Springs, CO

Colorado Springs reminded me a lot of Albuquerque. It's about the same size and consists mostly of the same kind of postwar auto-oriented sprawl. Many parts of both cities feel virtually identical. The first few pictures here are a good example.

Did you get to Garden of Gods, Broadmoor, ?
I am guessing not because no pictures.

I'd been to Garden of the Gods before (also Pike's Peak), so no, not on this trip. I went by Broadmoor, but didn't stop to take any pictures.

I am surprised at the ample tree lawn in photos 2 & 3 for such a new development.

You kind of went a little different haven't been in Boulder (I assume on the same trip). The Springs always carried more of a stigma to me. I don't go there often, but with such a large military presense and the HQ for Focus on the Family; it is about as far from Boulder as you can get.

Still your photos caught a glimpse of the Springs that this Colorado native has never seen. Picturesque town for sure.
