I am new to GIS, I need to import UK map with counties, into arcview to create a choropleth (I have created choropleth before but the map was already in place). I have been refered here by a friend. I hope somebody can help. I am not used to GIS, I just tend to see the results, now I have to produce this myself.
You might have to buy it. I poked around for a while and was unable to find anything free - it looks like http://www.magic.gov.uk/ definitely has the information available... but you can't download it because of license rights.
Maybe you know someone in an engineering or planning firm/department who could forward you the shapefile?
