Cleveland State: inner-city CDC/housing/advocacy/public administration oriented skills. A CSU grad would do well in an activist role, but few would be interested in the work at a traditional municipal planning agency. More likely to want to attend a Planners Network conference than an APA National.

Texas A&M: probably a smart planner but they will never, ever shut the f**k up about Texas A&M.

Any Ivy League school: wold they think working in local government is beneath them? Can you imagine a Harvard MUP doing sign code enforcement as part of their first job?

University at Buffalo: better-than average understanding of market forces, finance, and so on, but a bit weak when it comes to the planning process.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    do not take me seriously

    to amuse…

UPenn – designer that’s a planner wanna be
USC – strong in real estate and seeing $$$ around
    UCLA – transportation, transportation, transportation
Cornell – kids got design skills
    U Michigen – a laid back planner
    Berkeley – almost genius
    LSE – good in theory
Harvard – rich kid who didn’t have a proper portfolio to get into a design program, so chose planning as an easy way in/out
    MIT – genius
Tufts – hodge podge of policy knowledge
Columbia – it’s all about NY baby!
NYU – it’s all about NY baby!
SLO – doesn’t need much on the job training
Pomona – mediocre planner who just wants a gov. job
