    Peg the Prof.

Can you spot an engineer from 0.67 kilometers away? How about a professor of engineering?

The following images are of actual college professors that teach various disciplines at various universities. The object of this exercise is to correctly match the teacher with what you guess is their discipline. Whomever guesses the most correct matches wins.

Disciplines: French, math, economics, electrical engineering, anthropology, English, computer science

    Teachers:

    1.

    2.

    3.

    4.

    5.

    6.

    7.

    1) Math
    2) French
    3) Electrical engineering: button-down shirt without a tie. Probably short-sleeve, too, which would make it a dead giveaway for any kind of engineering.
    4) Computer science
    5) Anthropology
    6) English
    7) Economics: the curmudgeony look just screams "economics". If not that, I'd say "journalism", but it's not an option.

You should change the title of this thread, Maister, because "peg" has another meaning for many people searching the interwebs.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

    Six seasons and a movie!

I kinda cheated on a couple and deliberately went 'against type', but here for your edification are the correct matchings:
    1. Anthropology (gotcha!)
    2. Computer science (gotcha!)
    3. Economics
    4. Electrical engineering
    5. English (no surprise there, huh?)
    6. French (maybe would have been your second choice?)
    7. Math (nobody guessed it, but I'll bet no one is blown away, either)

Edit: oh, and that makes ofos winner with two correct guesses. Age, experience, and treachery triumph over youth and enthusiasm once again. Thanks for playing.

    As a professor:

I never EVER want to be the subject of this kind of game.

What if I won? What if I lost?

Disclaimer: As good as that makes me feel, I feel compelled to disclose my brilliant strategy for success. I merely listed the academic disciplines in the same order as Maister presented them. From past experience, I knew that he'd screw with us in some way so why try to beat the monkeys?
