Thread: What are my chances?

    What are my chances?

Just did my GRE today, unofficial score is 1330 (V: 610, Q:720). And as for writing, I think I did pretty well so I'm going to estimate the range to be between 5.0-6.0.

I completed my undergrad at The University of British Columbia, majoring in Human Geography, finished with a GPA of 3.5. Have pretty solid references.

I'm looking to apply to a variety of universities right now for an M.A. in Urban Planning. Dream schools are Harvard and Columbia. What do you think my chances are at those two, considering all of the above?

I believe that the average for Harvard would be around 3.6 GPA and mid to high 1300s on the GRE. UBC is a very good school, so you got that going for you.

But aside from the numbers you got to show that you not only will fit in the program but can contribute and are dedicated: Internships, volunteering, competitions, ect.
If you can show that then I believe you can get in. But remember that you are in the average (for Harvard), what makes you special?

    I got into Harvard with a 1340 (4.5 writing) and a 3.7.
