    Internet Movie Car Database

    Great site:

    http://imcdb.org/

You can search for any make or model, or search by movie or TV episode.

Now you can identify pretty much any obscure car from any obscure movie.

    Here's and example for Duel

    http://imcdb.org/movie_67023-Duel.html

Plus you can help name unidentified cars in the Unidentified Section

Nice! As an auto enthusiast this gives me a whole other resource when trying to come up with names for classic random sci-fi cars such as the weirdly cladded cars on mars in "Total Recall" or the occasional unidentifiable hoopty in the background in "Shawshank".

Fun site. I'm always on the lookout for AMC Jeep Grand Wagoneers in TV shows and movies.

This was the car I was tooling around in from when I was 19 until I was about 25. I sure miss it. http://imcdb.org/vehicle_32068-Chrys...rker-1979.html

Yes you will see this car and say wow I am shocked that someone from Detroit would drive such a car (sarcasm). It was big, powerful, and pimped out. I spent a fortune on replacing the crystal hood ornements!

Cool site. I gotta wonder, though.....who in the world had the time to search and look for cars in all those movies? Did the motion picture companies have accessible databases that listed "props" from their films?

    First thing I looked for.....DeSoto.

If you like DeSoto's, check out this page:

The original Mad Max movie has some great shots as well. I thought the page on the red '59 Chevy Bel Air was interesting

Went on a tour of this bus on Saturday. It was part of a halloween "Haunted Precinct" attraction. Turned out to be the most interesting thing there. The guide claimed Charles Manson was transported to prison in it. Was built like a tank, with thicker guage steel in the walls, kevlar in the tires and a huge engine. The interior was unrestored, so you could see all the scratch grafitti made by inmates' handcuffs.
