    Speed Limit Reduction

California has passed a law that considers content sensitive design factors in addition to prevailing speeds when determiining whether or not to reduce a posted speed limit.

Has anyone else been successful in implementing the reduced speed using similar basis, and what were the overridding factors contributing?

The condition being considered is a State Highway which bisects a small urban community.

    All insight is appreciated

    Thanks, Denise Chaplick

One place I used to work, the overriding factor would usually be how loud the councillor screamed to have the speed limit reduced. It was either that or somebody had managed to get themselves killed...
