I'm not sure if I'm putting this into the correct place, so I'm sure it will get moved if it isn't.
What I'm trying to find out is whether or not any cities have any specific criteria in their zoning bylaws related to semi-detached dwellings for design? Not materials, but appearance - trying to make each side look different or trying to make the facades look interesting by say staggering or articulating the facade or entry locations (on corner parcels)?
I'm looking into doing some regulation changes and I wanted to see if anyone had some samples of regulations that dealt with trying to regulate the appearance of each side of the semi.
My goal is to come up with a set of rules which are black and white, where no discretion would be required (cut and dry).
