Some help for a student: urban design CPTED

Hi all, I'm new here and looking to get some advice from the pros

I'm working on a project for an urban design class based around crime prevention. CPTED and CPTUD initiatives.

I was wondering if anyone was privy to some software that I can use to make a virtual 3d illustration or walk-through of what that area would look like... something like Sim City, but with more control and more based around design.

    Thank you so much

Ouch. I'm not a designer and not really familiar with softwares, but I'm CPTED certified. Could you just model something effectively with something simple like sketch-up? The principles wouldn't be that hard to express. Wish I had more to offer you, and good luck.
