When will the United States catch up with the rest of the world?

You Americans will finally be getting something resembling universal health care, something the rest of the industrialized world, and many developing nations, have enjoyed for decades.

When will Americans be open to adopting the following, and bringing the country into the 20th century?

* The metric system
* Larger denomination coins to replace paper money (this will bring the US abck into the 1940s, when coins were cash, and not just change)
* Reasonable gun regulations
* A ban on executions
* Mandatory paid maternity leave
* Graphic warnings on cigarette packages
* Nudity and profanity on broadcast network television
* Real sugar instead of HFCS in soft drinks

* Larger denomination coins to replace paper money. Just waiting for a return to the gold standard.

* Reasonable gun regulations Just about everybody carries one, so why should we create a regulation requiring it? We live in a free country, and guns keep it that way.

* A ban on executions We kill people convicted of crimes, but prohibit assisted suicide. They balance each other out.

* Mandatory paid maternity leave Does this include illegal immigrants?

* Graphic warnings on cigarette packages Cigarettes are harmless. Cigarettes don't kill, smoking does.

* Nudity and profanity on broadcast network television Then who would pay to get Cinemax?

* Real sugar instead of HFCS in soft drinks Big Ag is going to hunt you down.

Because we've seen the tyranny and hell you live under and have said, "NO." You Commienadians may be next door to us, but you're no better than those communist fascist frogs in Europe. First we adopt the metric system and the next thing you know formally FREE AMERICANS will be forced to trade in our FREE Dollars for NAU AMEROS at the point of the guns taken by the government.
