    Technology jobs in planning

Planning Jobs that requires planning education, but also, expertise in technical applications. The one I can think of is GIS analyst (?), not everyone with a planning degree can qualify for such jobs. I know some Autodesk employees in big positions have a degree in Architecture. Are there highly technical jobs in planning (that also pays well?) Also, there are masters programs like 'Spatial Analytics'. What kind of planning jobs you can expect to get?

Most planning jobs require some expertise in various computer applications, and every planner should have basic working knowledge of ArcGIS. So, as an answer to your question, you can expect to "get" (i.e. compete for) all kinds of planning jobs.

The most technical job in the planning realm is probably going to be GIS analysis.
