    Student Planner in Queensland Aust.

    Hi there,

I'm currently working as a cad operator in an construction company for the last three years but I've always had an interest in Town / Urban Planning. I like some of the concepts of Christopher Alexander and Kevin Lynch, but feel that they are missing the mark in some ways. I've started studying at QUT in Brisbane, and the course is well structured with industry visits from the council and private companies.

I've an interest in city modelling software and the visual representation of proposed developments ( I'm a Photoshop addict ). Anyway, back to the daily grind

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
