    Re-thinking energy policy post-Gulf oil spill [Was:talk a good talk]

    I have read articles that preach similar ideas http://www.planetizen.com/node/44891 . My immediate thought is. “Yeah yeah. But how many of us are really willing to give up and/or pay up for what needs to be done

    Well put, ColoGL. Also, I tend to react the same way as the OP, but then I think regardless, these are real problems, and just recognizing that people tend NOT to want to act to solve them does not in any way absolve us as a group...we owe it to ourselves to talk, debate, and look for solutions to all our problems...we own them together.
