After an irritating Holiday season back in New York - insulting gag gifts from Trump supporting family, a minor (but annoying) car accident in Queens, no chance to take public transport in going between NJ, Westchester and CT by car for family functions and a dissapointing Christmas Eve in Manhattan (Sacks Fifth Ave christmas show was out of comission! I was like Whuuut!) and having a doctor cancel on me meaning no cheap perscriptions under mom and dad's insurance (thanks Affordable Care Act).......BUT.......
Just got the best Christmas gift ever. I recieved today my CERTIFICAT DE SELECTION DU QUÉBEC! Meaning I am now recognized as a Québec resident in the eyes of law and more importantly I am a provincially sponsored immigrant, which makes it all but given that I will obtain my Canadian federal permenant residency by the end of 2017 (Québec controls it's own immigration as a post-referendum consession from Ottawa not to secede from Canada).
F***ing OUI!! I am so elated, I love Québec and now my future there is secure. I will be entitled to finish my masters at Universté de Montréal, McGill or Université Laval for next to nothing, I will have healthcare and will be eligible to join the l'ordre des urbanistes du Québec opening up opportunities in the public sector. And yes, I will also be able to get a medical cannabis card, completley legitimately
Who's coming to Montréal to celebrate with me? Planners style!
Je vous aime, la Cyburbie!
