    The economy is so bad that...

    if the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.

    I went to my bank to get a loan and they said, "What a coincidence! That's just what we were going to ask you!"

    I ordered a burger at McDonalds and the kid behind the counter asked, "Can you afford fries with that?"

    NJ's unemployment rate actually rose to 9.7% while supposedly being in the middle of the recovery.

    ...a recent grad can't find a job because a bachelor's degree and 5 years of planning internship experience makes him under-qualified for entry-level planning jobs but over-qualified for retail jobs
