I must have mentioned it years ago but you didn't listen. And frankly, in this town, who would notice but me? People here wear SEERSUCKER for crissakes.

On of the library board members showed up for our board meeting wearing a brown and white seersucker suit today. I could hardly believe it. You think his wife would've stopped him before he left the house and made him change!

What's wrong with seersucker suits? Especially in Florida!

    Seersucker

It's a good choice for a tropical climate. I bet you have guayabera shirt wearers, too. NTTAWWT.

I don't think I've ever seen a seersucker suit (say that fast three times) actually worn before. Maybe I have and just didn't realize it.

I have a question, isn't it wrong to wear a bolo tie and cowboy hat if you leave east of the Mississippi river?

Seersucker is fine if you're wearing white shoes and selling ice cream. Don't forget to wear your straw hat!

How about Hawaiian shirts? I was told I shouldn't wear mine outside Hawaii.

Strongly disagree. I thought wearing a Hawaiian shirt was the official uniforms of the stereotypical tourist or professional slacker (the differences being the tourist is wears black socks on their feet and the slacker has no socks and sandals.

I've never heard of seersucker before this thread but according to this it doesn't look bad at all. Am I missing something?

The Latin American community is quite large where I work and guaybera's are a common sight but usually are worn with casual slacks.

An older man at my church wears summer suits and white bucks. I think he looks nice dressed like that. I don't know if anyone much younger than he is could make it work.

What about Roots shirts, practically a Canadian uniform? It seems like Canadians go out of their way to wear these when they're in Buffalo. However, Americans are advised not to have similar displays north of the border, lest we appear to be "ugly Americans".
