Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Please put in your requests now. We expect to have multiple requests for time off and we need to ensure enough people will be here to allow the FAC to function properly.

The Commissioners gave us the day off. ZG and I are heading out to Mississippi for the long weekend. Visits to Natchez, Vicksburg, and Hattiesburg.

I'll be working. My P&Z Admin and Admin Asst are off (they beat me to it!)...and since we still haven't filled our Assistant Planner position, I'm left to cover the office with my p/t secretary.

I was supposed to be taking the entire week but decided against it (probably wouldn't look too good since I've only been here 7 months!)

Took Friday though, might RJ at lunch tomorrow.

Working the 5th, but I will be the only one in the office.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. I'll be here as part of the skeleton crew. It better be quiet, or so help me God.....
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Doing the same thing, but I only have the one admin. Like Mendelman said, it better be quiet or so help me!

I wasn't exactly sure what option#4 meant, but the other three options did not apply, and the option#4 was "something else".

Was this topic for people who only had planning jobs? See, on July 5th, the stock market is open!

July 4th is my anniversary. I will probably spend it remodeling the basement bathroom and weeding in the garden. I probably should have planned ahead to take off the 5th. Husband is off, and daycare is in. We could have gone hiking or something! Oh well, too late now... Maybe I'll RJ.

Love Natchez, especially Natchez Under the Hill. And a great time to visit Vicksburg, on the 150th anniversary of the end of the Siege of Vickburg. While in Hattiesburg, say hello to USM and the Gold Post for me. Ah, those good ole bad days of undergraduate irresponsibility and those late night runs down to the coast when the bars closed in Hattiesburg at midnight.

Yeah. I got a jump on it a few weeks ago. With the family out of the country, I am going to do something I will love and they would hate: touring historic sites on the Oregon and Mormon Trails. Gonna get my serious history geek groove on.

That's it. We gotta come up with the most insipid thread theme ever that day!
