    APA Great Places 2010

The American Planning Association has released it's 2010 list of Great Places in America.

The list includes, for the first time ever, a place in Oklahoma - the Paseo neighborhood in Oklahoma City, which was cited for it's architecture, civic involvement, affordable real estate, and active commercial district and artist community.

Story about Paseo's inclusion, from The Oklahoman (OKC's leading newspaper): http://newsok.com/paseo-named-one-of...ad_story_title

The list also includes for the first time a place in South Dakota - the Cathedral Historic District in Sioux Falls. I'm not familiar with this neighborhood, and there is no extrapolation on Sioux Falls news websites that I can find.

But props to APA for starting to look more at heartland areas.

It's cool that Oak Park, IL made the list. I know it well.

A neighborhood in my town made the list in the first year they had it. It's a nice recognition.

Hyde Park in Cincy is a great place. Good choice. I like that they charge $700 for the plaque too... ahh how I love APA
