The NEVERENDING™ Major League Baseball Trash Talk Thread!

With only a short 3.5 months to go before pitchers and catchers report for spring training for the 2011 season, and with many issues carrying over from the 2010 season, I've decided to try this as a NEVERENDING™ thread.

Let's hear some of your good stuff now!

(Already thinking of that great aroma that hangs over the Miller Park parking lot before and after those wonderful summer Brewer games!)

Not trash talk so much, but a chance to wish one of the greatest ballplayers and nicest men ever a happy 90th birthday: 90 Reasons to Love Stan Musial on his 90th Birthday by St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Bernie Miklasz. Musial, by the way, will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in January 2011.
    On pitching to Stan Musial:
"Once he timed your fastball, your infielders were in jeopardy."

Reds will be better next year. If they playoffs expand (like they are rumored to do shortly) you will be seeing a lot more of them in the future.

So ya need an expansion of the wild card to have a hope of making the playoffs? Just giving up on actually winning the division, are ya? Aim low.
I found you a new motto from a sign hanging on their wall…"Drink coffee: do stupid things faster and with more energy"

I'm not at all thrilled with the prospect of the playoffs being expanded AGAIN. They'll have to extend the season by at least another 1-2 weeks and already some northern teams are having trouble fitting it all in without any snowouts. At least there is a retractable roof at Miller Park, and it has already been used as a 'home' field by another team that was snowed out at their normal home, but there are only so many of these dates available in Milwaukee.
