Tomorrow (Sunday, 12-19) marks the 175th anniversary of The (Toledo) Blade. The newspaper's first edition arrived on the streets a couple years before Toledo was incorporated. An early edition included a reference to the naming of the newspaper: named after the fine blades that were made in Toledo, Spain. The newspaper said this about their name and their philosophy: "Our blade has no elasticity - it will break before it will bend."
So what did I learn today?
Included in Abraham Lincoln's pockets when he was shot and killed at Ford's Theater.....an article from The Toledo Blade.

Anyway, here's what I learned today. The tendonitis and knee pain that knocked me out of the National Guard before I went to basic is apparently heeled up, as indicated by the lack of pain in my ankle or knee after jogging 2.5 last night.
Maintaining enthusiasm in the face of crushing apathy.
Not a damn thing. I'll try again tomorrow!

Today I learned what makes a 'bistro' a bistro.
from wiki -
A bistro, sometimes spelled bistrot, is, in its original Parisian incarnation, a small restaurant serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting. Bistros are defined mostly by the foods they serve. Slow-cooked foods like braised meats are typical. Bistro patrons do not expect printed menus or professional service

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
