Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Today I learned that on a coldish day, with absolutely nothing to do but watch college football on t.v., RJ is prone to delve into his cellar and share his wines. Yum.
Also, unfortunately, that crime in my hometown has become much worse since I moved away. Too bad.
You can play a horrible football game, come back, have a great play to win the game, and have your kicker screw it up....

There are several villages in France that were completely destroyed in World War I. They remain incorporated, but they're completely depopulated, kept as memorials and considered towns that "died for France".
In French, the name for such a town is ville détruit; "destroyed village". One letter off.

Good fact about kangaroos. I will file that one away in case I make it to Oz land. And, while it is true cattle can go upstairs, they can come down as steaks, chops, and hamburger, if you aren't too squeamish and can get them to stand in the bathtub.
And that is what I learned today.

Today I learned (OK, actually it was yesterday):
the rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles. Damaging any 1 of them could fall under the "rotator cuff injury" category. One of the muscles in the group is located under the clavicle. Of course, that's the one I've injured in some fashion, and am now unable to pitch, throw or otherwise toss a baseball.
Good thing I don't do that for a living.
No surgery or sling, but I've got some rehab to do. And I am now limited in what I can lift with my dominant arm. Cooking last night was interesting - I had to plan around my arm and my hubby's willingness to help. Hello limited menus!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
