Are you thirsty from a morning of hard physical work toiling in the fields under the hot sun? Maybe you could really use some switchel instead?

I would suggest eating ice cream and candy, then taking a nap. When you get up you ALWAYS feel more peppy...

I considered having ice cream at lunch but opted for some mini-donuts instead.

My supposed 60-90 minute doctor's visit this morning turned in a 5.5 hour affair. So called the day a loss and took the kiddo for lunch and am now home.

I am not a happy camper and I have to go back next week as well as the 17th. FML.

At work today I wanted to speak only in Patrick Bateman quotes from the book American Psycho and see if anybody would catch on. Oddly, the appropriate situations never arose.

"Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!"

I say this every time someone shows me their business card, even if the description is in no way apt.

Still recovering from the effects of a trip to D.C. with my friends this past weekend.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking, smoking, eating, being obnoxious in public, getting thrown out of bars, meeting congressmen, strolling the National Mall at 4 in the morning, walking through underground cities, riding in cabs, and sleeping with ridiculously-hot, sweet, innocent girls from Virginia.

I feel like I need another vacation just to recuperate. It was a total blast though...lots of fun.

Whoa. That is like your SS card, you shouldn't keep that in your wallet.... do you know the general area that you lost it?

I am trying to download a draft comp plan for a county in Virginia, and even with my high-speed connection, it's taking forever because the file includes every $&#(* map! If I was a resident of this county and didn't have good internet service, I'd have given up by now.* Way to encourage community participation!

*Never mind; I AM giving up or I'll be late to a meeting!

    Community participation is overrated

This is pretty bizarre and brazen: A young girl in Sydney was freed from a bomb nightmare after police were able to remove her from some sort of device placed on her by a balaclava-clad intruder. Cops think it might have been extortion, as the family are well-off.

I'm happy for the young lady that she is safely back with her mum and family.

Wasn't there a guy in western Pennsylvania that had something similar happen? That one exploded, killing him IIRC.

You and I think alike. Currently, I have my eyes set on New England though. I've never really been interested in living on the east coast, but lately it seems like such a wonderful place that I cannot help but browse. They have yards there. Houses. Forests.

    Swoon.

Well don't you think you could come for the interview anyway? We could get mini donuts, big slices of cake, bbq and take a nice tour of the area.
