Of course, I really liked it.... ... and, hey, if it is a lesbian car, that is cool with me... I love women!

As it was when I bought the Honda Pilot 4 years ago... my wife will be driving this one.
What's up with the wifes getting to drive the new cars? Geez!!

I just paid off my car. No more car loans for this household!

    Man, I don't know.

Maybe if my commute to work was longer than 3 blocks, I could justify something different... but, alas...

We just bought a car. My husbands truck was totaled by a deer.
We just bought a Mercury Mairaner Hybrid. I really liked the Buick Rainer but I drove it one day and couldn't swollow the milage 17 mpg. It was really awesome though. Mairaner Hybrid getting 27mpg. Yes I have heard it all about the smaller cars getting 27 all the time but this is an SUV and big enough to haul stuff and 5 of us. So I get to drive the nice vehicle now. My husband bought a 1998 Buick Cutlass to drive.

Halloweeen, we may have had 100. He enjoys it. I don't, so he passes out candy. I would be the one on the block with the lights out. I know...
It is all a matter of perspective!!!

My new car gets 11/16. Thankfully I only drive 10 miles per day total.

If you like the big band version, you're going to love the three-part harmony folk version of it, too. It's amazing how three ugly women singing folk can do three part harmony and still sound monotone. That's a skill.

In other news, I wore my coat today, because fall has arrived. I bought it at Steve & Barry's for like 15 bucks. It's called "The Wooly Mammoth". I kid you not. That's it's official name. Damn I love this coat. I'd sleep in it if Mrs. Ursus would let me.

Heard Mike and the Mechanics ('All I Need is a Miracle') on the radio during my morning commute. Man, did it sound dated. I'll bet in about another 20 years it'll sound almost quaint. I wonder if a millenial who doesnt really remember Mike and the Mechanics the first time around has the same perception? Funny how some songs seems to age a great deal and others not so much. I wonder is there any music from the 1990's that sounds dated yet, or do we need to wait a few more years?

When I get a text message on my phone, I get a gentle "chime". In comparison, RJ's sounds like a winning slot machine going off: vibrate bzzz bzzz bzzz ding ding ding flashing lights, vibrate bzzz bzzz bzzz...... or maybe it just sounded that way because I sent him one after he was asleep last night (so he'd see it first thing this morning) and almost gave him a coronary.... whoops.

I sometimes wonder what it will be like in 50-60 years or so as the soothing sounds of 50 Cent, NWA and for forth are wafting through the hallways at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center....

You know, I don't think that will necessarily come to pass. I doubt folks at the senior center in the year 2030 will have a Musak version 'Anarchy in the UK' piped in. Some of the most raucous and firebrand art tends to die with integrity and dignity - after all, you don't hear syrupy versions of avant garde (at least in the 40's & 50's) bee bop jazz.

Decided to hold off on the new(ish) car for now.

Want to have at a MAXIMUM... one car loan. We've about 9 months left on our Honda Pilot. So I will keep squeezing my big frame into the oil burning, cold air seeping Saturn.

Ha! I currently fold myself into the cab of a 1991 Mazda B2200. I don't really drive it so much as wear it. I comfort myself by reciting my mantra "haven't made a payment on this truck in over ten years".
