    New Partners for Smart Growth 2011 Conference

    Any going? It is being held in Charlotte, NC at the beginning of Feb.

    Ha! I work for a bankrupt city in a town far, far away from the conference. I ain't going.

    Going to try and escape down for at least part of the meeting (I'm less than an hour away). No guarantees right now.

    Well......

    I wonder if anyone from Iowa will make it??

    I imagine a smart growth conference would be panic central right now, considering the political atmosphere and proposals to dismantle smart growth regulations I hope they don't ignore some of the knee jerk ideologically based objections that are starting to pop up around the Country.

    Possible New Smart Growth theme for the conference= Any Growth, Anywhere, As soon as possible

    Update: No permitted to attend due to $300 reg fee. Such a pity. Its right in our backyard.
