Oh yeah. Definitely MRE's. I found one of my old ones in my Army duffle bag from when I served most recently in 2002. I opened it and ate it just for the heck of it. Tasted fine (well, as good as an MRE can taste).
Oh, pretty much any hard candy will last forever. My great grandmother had butterscotch in her jar that had been there for decades.

I was |--| close. Turns out they don't give scholarships to the Culinary Institute. It cost more than my family could afford. Instead I took my running scholarship and became a plannerI still love to cook. Maybe once I win the lottery I will go back school to become a chef.

WSU MUP Student beat me to it, but honey is the food that comes to mind for me. I don't know if I would call salt "food" though it is essential for life. But its just an inert mineral and we eat it just as it naturally occurs. Honey, on the other hand, has been processed (albeit in a rather disgusting way by the bees) and even the producers consider it food.
Beyond that, I am impressed with the staying power of all things pickled (from sourkraut to, well, pickles). Maybe salad dressing?
