Greetings from Arlington, VA (via Iowa)

    Hey all-

New to the forum, recently moved to the DC metro from Des Moines, IA. Had previously been working in financial services, but have been able to parlay my interest in urban planning and economic development into a new career - I work with a group in Arlington County promoting public transportation options, encouraging commuters to go car lite or car free.

Currently exploring graduate school options here in the area - planning to start a program in Fall 2011.

Looking forward to discussing all things planning and sustainability related!

    Brett

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!

I love the DC metro area! Enjoy getting to know the place!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Welcome from the left-calf of the Rockies. Like the handle and see if you can get my cousins from Virginia to ride public transit, will you? I think it would be great for them.
