    Aloha from Central Oahu

I discovered this site when I did a search on the Old West End of Boston Urban Renewal of 1960. My background is Human Resources and Organizational Development, however I have followed with interest what urban planners are faced with nowadays. It is as they say, a jungle out there. I like to think there is such a thing as a planned community. And I live in one. Yet, most of the island is semi planned and has little room to expand. We are mountainous, and walled by a fair size ocean. I guess I joined to pick up whatever is useful to me as a citizen and community member, sometimes on our Neighborhood Board, (and advisory outfit) which gets to look at all these wonderful spiral bound planning books. Regards and nice to be aboard as they say....gerry
