    Several other communities have rebuilt replicas of lost lighthouses or even moved existing lighthouses to a new location, says Pete Lesher, the chief curator for the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md. Lighthouse replicas have been built in Connecticut, Florida, New York and North Carolina, among other places, he says.

    Where the weak are killed and eaten.
    Only 750 lighthouses??? I have to question that! Michigan has 115 historic lighthouses alone, not to count the modern faux ones!
