    The 25 drunkest countries

    http://www.fox17online.com/sns-viral...4.photogallery

Most come as no surprise at all, but there are a few on the list that raise an eyebrow....including #1 Moldova!
I see Andorra scored quite high on the list. I am dispatching Cyburbia's special Andorran envoy, ursus, to look into the situation immediately

Ireland only #15? USA didn't even make the list? Weak.

I have a sudden, unexplained urge to go to Latvia, though.

Wow, a number of my favorite countries are on that list.

USA was #56. We got an honorable mention. Yemen was in last place.

    Makes me mighty proud.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

In Ireland the bars open late and close early. Therefore to be on the list is quite the feat.

I like the seriousness and devotion to drinking depicted with the #19. Slovakia picture, in contrast to some the freewheelin good times photos for other countries..."We are only #19, come Hans, Katarina, we must drink more quickly to help our great nation achieve this honor and distinction..."

Couldn't they have come up with better pictures for Andorra and Croatia? I know they are small countries, but surely somone somewhere must have been having a party. Same goes for #1...Moldova.

Cut 'em some slack. I understand it's something of a miracle that the Moldovan who shot that photo was even able to stand while taking it.

On a different note, I'm surprised that Australia didn't make the top 25. From what I understood most Aussies livers were pickled by age 30.

I will file my report at the earliest possible moment. I'm just looking for my traditional Andorran mountain garb, so I can blend in...code name is "Fat Gypsy".

I think it is unfair as the drinking age in some countries is birth. We still have the archaic 21 year rule... by that time those in Moldova have 10 years of experience on us....

Having moved from Michigan to Kentucky, I'm not surprised. Most of the counties in my state don't allow alcohol sales. My own city allows restaurants to serve, but I can't buy a case of beer unless I cross a county line. A lot of the country is like this, and it brings the whole country's average comsumption down.

Birth to 21 = 10 years? You might be a few along already.

Indeed, I have a few interesting stories involving Aussies, lots of beer, and me, under the table. Those folks could DRINK!

Well, I was going to wait for the weekend, but maybe I will crack open that growler sitting in the fridge this evening. You know, for the good of the country!

I think that's because they lopped off so much of the former USSR ... Latvia, Lithuania, and the Ukraine were all part of the Soviet Union when it existed ... I forgot if Estonia was on the list, but if it was, it was part of the USSR, too.

One thing that's rather surprising to me is how many countries in eastern Europe and the Balkans are on the list.

Estonia is on the list. I would vote it the most likely place where micky's get slipped into drinks judging by the pic!
