Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    GO Gators!
    GO Blue Devils!

However my two other schools didn't have a chance.

I hope I can get in the office poll even though I'm stuck in jury duty. I'llhave to fill in my bracket, scan it, and then email it in.

Michigan and Oakland University both made the tournament. I was hoping that OU would get a 12 seed instead of a 13 but if any of the 13 seeds have a legitimate chance at pulling the upset, I think it will be Oakland against Texas. (My other alma mater, Wayne State, is not Division 1 so no tournament dreams there...)

The best part of the selection process was Michigan State being forced to wait to just about the very end to determine their fate. I was really hoping they were going to get one of the play-in games which would have been pretty funny.

Actually, I think the play-in games should have gone to bubble teams like MSU or UofM instead of teams like Alabama State or Arkansas-Little Rock who won their conferences outright. Those teams should have been a 15 and let the bubble teams fight it out.

If Oakland was playing in DC I was going to go because I would have had a free place to stay with my best friend who also is a Golden Grizzly and now lives in DC. If Oakland or Michigan were playing in Cleveland or Chicago I'd definitely be headed out for the game. But alas, Tulsa and Charlotte are too far for me this time around.

Is your school in ? Illinois - 9 seed

My team could potentially play it's two most recent former coaches. They play UNLV in the first game (Lon Kruger) and if they win most likely Kansas (Bill Self) in the next game. You know the committee did that on purpose.

    Northern Colorado Bears 15 seed.

Playing San Diego State in the first round. I am cautiously optimistic.

    Go Warriors!
    Go Badgers!

Both are going to have good first games and worthy opponents (vs Xavier and Belmont, respectively) and I'll be eagerly watching (or at least listening to) both!

No real expectations for Sparty. With the way the season has went, I'd be thrilled to reach the Sweet 16.

Connecticut- # 3 seed in the west. To be honest, despite my love for Kemba Walker and their run through an AWESOME Big East Championship series, I think this was better than they deserved.

Connecticut women- even though it wasn't asked, #1 overall seed, #1 in the east!

    Go Huskies!

I forgot to get my picks in before the deadline. Oh well, at least I got them in in time for my pools where money is involved (not that I have any illusions of winning).

    Go Golden Grizzlies!
    Go Blue!
    Go Bruins!

I changed my pick last night... should have went with gut. Oh well, I had them losing in the sweet 16 anyways.

I picked them in all but one bracket. I think this one might have been it.... I have the Richmond v. Morehead State game going into OT

Our new officemate, who is not in our department and whose office is right across the hall from mine, is a huge Texas Longhorn fan, and has an autographed Jordan Shipley football (of all UT football players - him?!) and various paraphernalia, and is now listening to the Oakland-Texas game via internet broadcast.

    All that to say this:

GO GOLDEN GRIZZLIES! BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THE D@MNED TEXAS LONGHORNS.

    That is all.

Penn State is out. UCLA is still in despite monumental choke in 2nd half. Those who picked UC santa Barbara or Northern Colorado to go all the way are disappointed. Sorry Zman.

Well at this point, I'm not in last place in the Cyburbia pool. Thanks for pulling up the rear, Hink. I'm doing much better in my office pool....different strategy there: don't make your selections under the influence of .

In the office - I have 8 of the 16 teams left, but that's not going to be a winner.

Oh well, I can keep cheering for Duke & Florida!
