    New member from Austin, TX

    Greetings!

It's great to join this online planning community. I'm a doctoral student at the University of Texas in Community and Regional Planning where I study environmental justice and sustainable community development.

I am involved with my neighborhood, the Austin Housing Repair Coalition (a group of organizations that works on green and healthy home repair for low-income homeowners), and UpLift Austin, a nonprofit that teaches underprivelged high school youth about sustainable design and development.

    Thanks for having me!

Hello from a former Austinite. Well, if you could call someone who lived in Austin for a year an "Austinite". There's lots of active Austin-area Cyburbians; hope you'll count yourself among them.

    Hello, from Dallas, !
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Welcome from northern New York state. We hope you'll pull up a chair and stay a while.
