I have one more. When I left my last public planning position, my (former) co-workers gave me a copy of Stop me before I plan again by Richard Hedman. It's probably the best advice ever published by the APA.

Hmmm, I never heard of it. I will have to check it out. I do have "What your Planning Professors Forgot to tell You" which is worth a good chuckle.

    Love the amulet too!

Many books that haven't been read for awhile. An AICP pin and certificate that rarely see the light of day. A paper weight that sits on my desk that says APA-WI Executive Board. That's about it.

I used my AICP lapel pin as a thumbtack on my bulletin board. Is that bad?

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Same here. It was gift from my Sister-in-Law. I gave one to a fellow Cyburbian several years ago as part of a Secret Santa package.
