    The NEVERENDING FML thread

I can't find the confirmation # for our flight from HK to SNG. And the airline can't be reached by e-mail unless you have the confirmation # so I can't contact them to get my confirmation #.

I ate 2 brats for lunch because I was really hungry and now the office is really crowded. I also did a site inspection yesterday so there is no escape.

What is this 'FML' you speak of?

edit: do you prefer GLARE or ARALL?
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Echo. I have no idea what FML is.

Edit: Google has revealed the answer. GASP!

Won't Google Chrome work on Windows 2000 for Factfinder? Or possibly SRWare Iron?

Had to drive back up to the office for a work "event" this evening, and my wife refused to accompany me (REALLY mad at me), and on the way, my little p.o.s. paid-for-forever truck finally started to kick the bucket. So I will spend the evening uncomfortable, worrying about my ride, regretting the fight with my wife, and looking forward to a BIG fight when I get home.

    FML indeed.

^^ Ursus, you need a big hug.

    <HUG>

I hope your p.o.s. truck gets you home, and that the fight isn't as bad as you think it will be. On that note, don't stay out late!

Much appreciated. (though it's not getting me home, my brother "Golden Boy" is coming to get me). If the night provides unintended comedy I'll get through.

....snicker....seriously? I was going to post that I was upset at only having Windows 7 with 4GB RAM and a 21" monitor for the minimal GIS stuff I'm doing on ArcGIS 10.0, but your post would just make me look silly for complaining

Do you also drive a 1971 Gremlin? Watch TV on a black and white set? Use a rotary phone perhaps?

Ahh, that is a good theory on paper but it never works in real life. That dust cloud will follow you back to your seat and only make your crime more apparent.

You're doing it wrong. Let me try a simple diagram:

DESK -------> OFFICE (Dusting) --------> DOOR (Preferably to the outside and not bathroom)

    Then after a few moment:

DOOR -------> OFFICE (Where you make sniff and make a face) ------> DESK

You have to use a linear approach, with a waypoint for air clearance. The "odd smell" face is important to deflect suspicion...

Can't you go for a simple approach where no one gets hurt? Go check if you "left your . . . (wallet, checkbook, change for the coke machine) in your car, or go to the . . . (bank, stop-n-go). Sure maybe the ozone layer takes a hit, but it is a big world.

I've got to play nice at tonight's council meeting as election season is in the air and we're discussion sign ordinance revisions. Going to be a long night in an uncomfortable folding chair and to make it worse the uneducated "propty riites" brigade will be in attendance.

Wait, is that a reaction? Or is it the actual sound of you going for the "simple approach"?

AIB Kjel's post above, I am currently hunting for a "part-time" gig (which is code for I'm-going-to-deliver-pizzas-at-night) to make more money because I'm tired of being poor and can't seem to move up the ladder in spite of my experience. By day, respected planner, by night - pepperoni-boy.
